How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty! Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked... For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor.

Exalting the Humble King

Philippians 2:5-8

My Sermon Notes from December 22, 2019 Full Text: Philippians 2:5-8

5 你們當以基督耶穌的心為心:
6 他本有神的形象,
7 反倒虛己,
8 既有人的樣子,
5 Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus,
6 who, though he was in the form of God,
did not regard equality with God
as something to be exploited,
7 but emptied himself,
taking the form of a slave,
being born in human likeness.
And being found in human form,
8 he humbled himself
and became obedient to the point of death—
even death on a cross.
(腓立比書 Philippians 2:5-8)

Discussion Questions:
1. “Jesus emptied himself””(Phil. 2;7). In what ways is God calling me to empty myself?
2. Let the same mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus”(Phil. 2:5). In what practical ways
can I live out the mind and attitude of Jesus at home and in the church?
