How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty! Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked... For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor.
Psalm 84

Summary

愛是永不止息 Love Will Not Fail (Part I)

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

My Sermon Notes from April 19, 2020 Full Text: 哥林多前書 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

4 愛是恆久忍耐,又有恩慈,愛是不嫉妒,愛是不自誇,不張狂, 5 不做害羞的事,不求自己的益處,不輕易發怒,不計算人的惡, 6 不喜歡不義,只喜歡真理; 7 凡事包容,凡事相信,凡事盼望,凡事忍耐。
4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

2. When you were not aware of the the Bibles teaching on love, where did you get your idea of it?
3. What is your take on the view that love is “elation” or infatuation a heightened sense of feeling vs it being a verb or something you are willing to commit to do for someone?
4. Do you think we can really love our enemy as Jesus commanded us?
