Transformation: A New Beginning | The Renewed Mind
The Renewed Mind
My Sermon Notes from January 2, 2022 Full Text: Romans 12:1-2
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
1. Have we truly been transformed to be more in the likeness of our Lord Jesus? Or are we just going to the motions of being a Christian?
2. Spiritual acts of worship consist of presenting our bodies, holy and pleasing to the Lord. What areas of my life do I still need to pursue holiness? Name 5 areas and intentionally pursue holiness.
3. A renewed mind is needed for transformation. Is my present thought life biblically based, and will these thoughts build or tear me down?
4. What conducts do I have that are unbecoming of a follower of Christ? Pray earnestly for the Lord to empower you to overcome.
