How lovely is your dwelling place, Lord Almighty! Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked... For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor.
Psalm 84

Dear JEC,

Crisis. If you look at it with the right perspective are actually blessings in disguise. Crisis of an epidemic led to the discovery of antibiotics. Crisis in having a sustainable light led to the discovery of the light bulb. And a crisis in Joseph the dreamer’s life in Egypt led him to realize that all along, God never left him. We will never know how God is truly faithful and great by just singing about it, only by surrendering everything to His will can we experience His greatness. We will never truly know how great a provider He is, if we are not in need. Healer, if we are always well. And a Shepherd, when we are not in the valley of the shadow of death.

Face uncertainties with the security of the word and promises of God, not just with posting advisories. Be still. With this quarantine, we have lots of time to read and meditate on His word, to pray and intercede for one another, for our family to have more time together. These are some of the Blessings in disguise of a crisis. Hide me now, under your wings, Cover me, within your mighty hand. When the oceans rise and thunders roar, I will soar with you above the storm, FATHER YOU ARE KING OVER the flood, and I will be still and know you are God. Find rest my soul, in Christ alone, know his power, in quietness and trust.

There is a flood of uncertainties now. But we can only truly know His power, in being still. In quietness and trust. Blessings to all. Read His word. Claim His promises.

In His service,
Elder Chris Beltran
